This Privacy Policy describes how the Legend Chess Arena application ("the app", "we") collects, uses, and protects users' personal information ("you", "user"). By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this document.

1. Data controller

The controller of personal data collected by the app is reachable at adhemar@adjtk.com.br.

2. Data we collect

The app collects the following personal data:

• Google authentication data (when you choose to sign in with your Google account): display name, email address, and unique Google account identifier.
• App usage data: history of played games, moves performed, results, Elo rating, legends faced, game duration, and related statistics.
• Technical identifiers: anonymous installation identifier generated by Firebase for users who choose not to sign in with Google.

The app does not collect location data, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or any other personal information beyond what is listed above.

3. Purpose of processing

The collected data is used exclusively for:

• Enabling user authentication and identification within the app;
• Maintaining personal game history and Elo ranking;
• Synchronizing progress across devices belonging to the same user;
• Diagnosing errors and improving app stability.

Data is not used for advertising, commercial profiling, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Storage and processing

Data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), services operated by Google LLC. Servers may be located in various countries, including the United States. International data transfer is performed under the safeguards provided by Google, in compliance with applicable laws.

5. Data sharing

The app does not share your personal data with third parties, except:

• With Google Firebase, as the infrastructure provider essential to the app's operation;
• When required by law, court order, or competent authority.

6. Your rights

Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and equivalent regulations), you have the following rights:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• Rectification: request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data;
• Erasure: request deletion of all your data;
• Portability: receive your data in a structured format;
• Withdrawal of consent: revoke processing permission at any time.

7. Account deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data in two ways:

• Within the app: go to Settings → Account → Delete my account.
• By email request: send an email to adhemar@adjtk.com.br with the subject "Account deletion" stating the registered email. Deletion will be processed within 30 days.

Deletion is permanent and irreversible. All history, statistics, and ranking data will be removed.

8. Data retention

Data is retained for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by legal obligation.

9. Security

We adopt reasonable technical measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Access to the database is restricted and protected by authentication. However, no system is completely secure — if you suspect your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

10. Children and minors

The app is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are the guardian of a minor who has provided data to the app, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated periodically. Significant changes will be communicated within the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document indicates the current version.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

This policy is governed by the laws of Brazil. Any disputes related to data processing will be resolved in the courts of São Paulo, to the exclusion of any other jurisdiction, however privileged.
